WESN has a new transmitter!
We are back on the air - please tune in 88.1 FM whenever possible. The new transmitter should make us sound better and easier to tune in!
Let me know if you have anything to report - I suspect you’ll be able to hear WESN in parts of town you couldn’t before!

WESN off-air for a few days
IWU has scheduled a series of campus power outages for this week. As a precaution, I’ve shut down all the equipment in the studio and the transmitter room. I even unplugged everything from the wall in case of a surge.
We should be back on by Wednesday!

Titan Baseball Tournament On WESN!
After besting Wheaton in “grand” fashion Thursday, the Titan Baseball team will play Augustana in the second game of the CCIW Postseason Tournament, with the first pitch scheduled for 11 AM. WESN will have all the action for you on 88.1FM or here on the web at wesn.org!

May Term and Summer Shows
May Term is a perfect time to try out being a DJ or to continue the show you’ve had all semester.
We will be broadcasting and webcasting as usual during May. If you would like a show during May Term, whether or not you have had a show in the past, please email Jason at jprechte@iwu.edu. In your email, include a list of times you have available. You may also indicate a preference for a particular slot, though we may not be able to accomodate everyone’s first choice. We will hold a meeting for first-time DJs on May 9th, time and place to be announced.
Also, we would also like to get a sense for interest in doing summer shows. We will decide if we will broadcast this summer based on the level of interest, so if you want a show this summer, email Kari at kirwin@iwu.edu as soon as possible!

Game Today at 5 P.M vs. Washington
Originally scheduled as a doubleheader, the men’s baseball game vs. Washington University today is now penned as only a single contest, starting at 5 p.m. WESN will broadcast the game live on 88.1FM in Bloomington-Normal and here on the web at wesn.org!

Titan Baseball vs. Franklin Cancelled
Due to the threat of wet weather, the Titan Baseball game vs. Franklin scheduled for 5 p.m. today has been cancelled. No make up date has been posted. Check back to wesn.org for updates on the rescheduled time. The next WESN Sports broadcast is this Friday at 7p.m. when the Titan Softball team takes on Calvin.
